Randy Pausch sadly lost his life to Pancreatic Cancer. He was 47.

His life, his work and his brave struggle against indomitable odds (Pancreatic cancer has a 5% survival rate after 5 years) was an inspiration to many. He is survived by his wife and three young children - 6, 3 and 2.
Wherever he is, his spirit I'm sure continues that quest for knowledge and to share that knowledge with others.
To quote T. S. Eliot
"We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. "
